Dr Mohammed Amir is a doctor of dental medicine (DMD) who freshly graduated from the faculty of Medicine of Algiers, Algeria with high honors in late 2021. Currently, he is working as a research fellow at Mayo Clinic at the division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and simultaneously doing a long-term observership in clinic and OR. Dr Mohammed discussed back in Algeria his thesis for the first time in Africa which is the use of stem cells in maxillofacial region reconstruction, bone regeneration and Car-T cells use in Head and neck oncology. He has a strong research background with more than 30 published papers in high quality journals and 25 abstracts in prestigious conferences. He is polyglot speaking fluently English, Arabic, French, Spanish and has upper intermediate level in German. He has good clinical background. He has done several externships back in Algeria such as oral surgery, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, ICU and radiology. He used to work as a general dentist and also as a lecturer in the biggest hospital of Algeria.
Currently, Dr Mohammed Amir is conducting a retrospective study aiming to incorporate an Algorithm to help early detection of free microvascular flaps complications in the head and neck region. He is also conducting and preparing papers for submitting about total bilateral TMJ reconstruction. Dr Mohammed is an oral maxillofacial surgeon aspirant. He has endless commitment and incredible dedication to his dream field. He is hardworker and a lifelong learner.
