Dr. Mahfud F Mohamed, is a teaching staff member and the founder of the master's program (MSc) in the Department of Orthodontics since 2018. In 2004, he is a graduate in Department of Orthodontics. In 2016, he did his Postgraduate Studies in (Dental Biostatistics and research methodology). From 2016-2019, he is a Vice-Dean for Scientific and Postgraduate Affairs. He is also a Founder and Editor in Chief of the Libyan Journal of Dentistry. He also worked as Head of the Department of orthodontics from (2013-2016).

His Research fields includes Biostatistics and Research Methodology, Aesthetic Aspects of Orthodontics, Biology of Orthodontic Tooth Movement and Root Resorption, Mechanical Bases of Orthodontics, Surgical Orthodontics.
