Dr. Abhishek Chaturbedi is an eminent neurosurgeon and neuroscientist practicing in Nepal. He currently holds the rank of associate professor of Neurosurgery. He has completed his medical school training from the premier medical school in India- All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in 2004. He has completed preliminary general surgery residency from New York Hospital of Queens, NY, USA in 2006. He has completed 3 fellowships training in Neurosurgery in USA. He completed his clinical neurosurgery fellowship at University of Washington Medical Center, WA, USA in 2007. He did 2 years of minimally invasive fellowship in spine and vascular fellowship from Swedish Neuroscience Institute Seattle, WA, USA in 2009. He has also completed 2 years of Research Fellowship at University of California, Irvine, USA in 2012. His research was primarily in molecular and genetic aberrations in brain cancer (glioblastoma) apart from conducting various clinical researches. He has four NIH grant funded articles published in reputed journals focused solely on glioma (brain tumor) molecular and genetic research. He completed his MS in Neurosurgery from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, Bangladesh in 2018. He is an accomplished researcher and neuroscientist with over 25 publications in peer reviewed, international, indexed medical journals. Most of the articles are prospective studies, written as first author. He is also part of editorial board of several reputed international medical journals apart from our Journal. His main expertise is in the subspecialty of neuro-trauma, vascular neurosurgery, minimally invasive spine surgery and neuro-oncology. He is also a spiritual guide and author of critically acclaimed book “ A beginner’s guide to spirituality” published by Europe Books, UK.
