Luca D'Ascanio was born in Sondrio, Italy in 1977. He received a degree in medicine in 2002 (magna cum laude) and a specialization in otolaryngology and head & neck surgery in 2006 (magna cum laude). He became a Preceptor in otology and skull base surgery at the House Ear Institute in Los Angeles (CA, USA). At the moment, he is working at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery (Regional Laryngeal Cancer Centre) of Vittorio Veneto Civil Hospital (Italy). His fields of interest are head and neck surgery, laryngology, thyroid, functional and aesthetic nasal surgery, facial surgery, and otology. Dr. D'Ascanio is a Reviewer for the most important international journals in otolaryngology, such as The Laryngoscope and Annals of Otology and Rhinology & Laryngology. He is also the author of the Italian version of books on nasal and ear surgery and of numerous publications on the most important international ENT Journals.
