He received his B.S. degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (2006) from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, India, his M.S. degree in Biochemistry (2009) from University of Mysore, India, and his Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry (2015) from Sun Moon University, South Korea with Prof. Dr. Jae Kyung Sohng. Started his postdoctoral research (2015-present) at the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the University of Kentucky, U.S.A. with Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rohr. His research focuses on exploiting biosynthetic pathways and enzyme mechanisms, enzyme engineering, and skeletal modification and formation for production of natural product therapeutic agents, specifically antibiotics, anticancer drugs, and antimycotics from bacteria. He published research articles in Free Radic Biol Med, Curr Protoc Microbiol, Microbiol Res, Appl Microbiol Biotechnol, Appl Biochem Biotechnol, J. Microbiol Biotechnol, Mol Cells, J. Biotechnol, and J. Biomolecule Reconstruction.
